But Chih-Chieh, Lin of C. Taipei answered a triple, lead back to 4; Chia-En, Mao had two off a steal from Douthit which widened the lead.

Gilas' first lead in the game from Asi Taulava's 2 didn't take long as C. Taipei retaliated. Philippines then answered a triple, 45-42 at halftime.

The Filipino team is pulling away with a 16-point lead as C. Taipei had 2 turnovers; attempted a couple of triples to no avail. De Ocampo's swift and smooth pass to Douthit gives the latter 2 and 1.
