The special day for dads, though criticized for getting commercialized the past years, has become an annual celebration and tradition among Filipino families. Father's Day is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide and typically involves gift-giving, special dinners to fathers, and family-oriented activities.
Aside from the Philippines, sixty other countries including Bahrain, Canada, China, Greece, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Venezuela and the United States will celebrate Father's Day on June 17, 2012.
Father's Day is the best time to tell your dad, tatay, itay, pop, or papa how much you love him. Good for you if you're used to say "I Love You Dad" by text, through a simple note or in person, but if you haven't expressed it yet, do it now, don't wait for Father's Day to come.
