Globe Telecom offers WiMax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) service with speeds of up to 512 kbps for P795 or up to 1 mbps at P1,295 per month. Globe Wimax is available at selected areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Coolbuster's Globe Wimax tweak will not in any way affect the unit, we will just increase the TCP Receive Window (RWin) of your operating system to match with the maximum segment size (MSS) of data that Globe Wimax can process.
Coolbuster's Globe Wimax Tweak
1. Download DrTCP from this link.
2. Open DrTCP and put the following values:
- TCP Receive Window = 994048
- Windows Scaling = Yes
- Time Stamping = No
- Selective Acks = Yes
- Dial Up (RAS) MTU = leave it blank
- Path MTU Discovery = Yes
- Black Hole Detection = No
- Max. Duplicate ACKs = leave it blank
- TTL = leave it blank
- Adapter Settings (select your LAN adapter) = 1452
3. Click Save, Exit and OK.4. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Notes:
- Works on Windows 2000, XP and Windows 7.
- Don't mix up with any other tweak.
- Fresh operating system install is highly recommended.

The promise of wimax is to deliver high speeds and SUPER wide coverage with low cost, especially to remote areas. the pricing on this one defeats wimax' goal.
im using globe wimax for a couple of months. connection is quite good but speed is not very impressive,im finding means to boost its speed. hope this article helps.
