Bend the Trend climate change tool
During the United Nations 15th Climate Change Conference (COP15) last December 13, the European Environmental Agency (EEA) unveiled new Microsoft-powered applications; one of them is Bend the Trend.
Bend the Trend (I really like the rhyme and its cause) is an online global program that helps people make pledges to reduce their carbon emissions.
Information coming from the actual website says Bend the Trend is "a social climate movement whose aim is to inform and inspire people to engage each other to combat climate change." Anyone can become a Trendbender "by committing to a lifestyle change to reduce greenhouse gas emissions."
How to access or use Bend the Trend and become a Trendbender
- You will need to install Microsoft Silverlight.
- Go to http://www.bendthetrend.net/ to personally experience Bend the Trend.
