How to unlock a Nokia cellphone (open line)
A reader from the Bicol area requested through text a guide for unlocking a Nokia cellphone. Since I am not an expert on this Nokia open line thingy, I will just link a site that offers a Nokia free unlock online calculator by IMEI.
Before we proceed, let me remind you NOT to breach your contract in case your line is network locked.
Step 1
You have to find out if your Nokia phone is a DCT3 or a DCT4 model. According to www.unlockme.co.uk, supported DCT3 models are the following:
2100, 3210, 3310, 3330, 3410, 5110, 5146, 5130, 5146, 5210, 5510, 6110, 6130, 6150, 6210, 6250, 7110, 8210, 8810, 8850, 8890, 9110, 9210The same website also posted that the supported DCT4 models are:
1100, 1101, 2300, 2600, 2650, 3100, 3120, 3200, 3220, 3230, 3300, 3510, 3510i, 3650, 3660, 5100, 5140, 6020, 6021, 6030, 6100, 6101, 6170, 6220, 6230, 6230i, 6250, 6260, 6310, 6310i, 6510, 6600, 6610, 6610i, 6650, 6670, 6681, 6800, 6810, 6820, 6822, 7200, 7210, 7250, 7250, 7260, 7270, 7280, 7600, 7610, 7650, 7710, 8310, 8800, 8910, 8910i, 9300, 9500, N-Gage, N-Gage QD(Note: You can Google search other phone models that are not listed above at the same time find out if they belong to either the DCT3 or DCT4 category).
Step 2
Find your unit's IMEI by pressing *#06# on your phone keyboard. The IMEI, or International Mobile Equipment Identity, is a unique 17 or 15-digit code used to identify an individual mobile unit in a GSM network. The IMEI uniquely identifies a specific mobile phone being used on a mobile network.
Step 3
After getting the necessary information, you may now enter your IMEI in the corresponding box at the unlock.NokiaFREE.org website. Again, you will have to make sure if your unit is a DCT3 or a DCT4 model to arrive with a correct unlocking code. Follow the given instructions to complete the process.

sir 7360 nokia model was not on the list on Nokiafree.org website...

Our list of DCT4 models is based from unlockme.co.uk so there's a slight difference with the list from Nokiafree.org. Nevertheless, we corrected our list now.

It's nice way to unlock mobile using the online calculator.I am also using the unlocking code for unlock my mobile.I purchased the unlocking code from UNLOCK-ZONE.It also provides the unlocking instructions.
