What's in the Box Contest UPDATE

This update has been posted in Win A Thing blog a couple of days ago. We are reposting this now for further dissemination. The update is about the status of What's in the Box? Contest. Please read on.

I called up Marco the other day to discuss the status of the What's in the Box Contest at Coolbuster - The Power of Information. It's almost one month and it is unfortunate that feedback to the contest has been poor.

We checked the post and we found out that there are only four official entries and one non-entry as of this writing - a pretty low turnout for a big contest in a month's time. Right now, we are trying to figure out the reasons why. View the post here.

Marco and I agreed the following:

If the number of entries does not increase up to at least thirty (30) by 28 February 2009, we will terminate the contest. What's in the Box contest prizes are very expensive (the Nokia 6300 alone costs almost $200) which we are willing to send to anyone who will win regardless of his/her location. The low turnout, however, discouraged us as the main sponsors to continue the contest.

We encourage bloggers to join and those with existing entries to highten up the contest, please make a follow-up blog about it so we can meet the requirement. We hope you will understand our concern. Thank you.
